This facial treatment will resurface the skin giving dramatic softer, smoother skin while also reducing fine lines, wrinkles, acne and scarring. Glycolic acid is a naturally occurring acid derived from sugar cane. It is one of a larger family of acids called alpha hydroxy, or fruit, acids. Glycolic acid is commonly used in chemical peels applied to the skin. The peel exfoliates the top layer of the skin and stimulates collagen growth. A glycolic acid peel or series of peels can be used to treat hyperpigmentation, dry skin, fine wrinkles and acne.

It is not absorbed into the body and will not cause any systemic side effects like chemicals used in other peels.

The Glycolic Acid helps reduce the cell “build up” at the lower levels of the skin. This has a profound effect on the skin by reversing the abnormal cellular attachments caused by sun damage and aging. Glycolic acid has shown to produce increased amounts of collagen in the skin.
